Ferrum College Campus Layout

Hey guys! I'm planning to visit Ferrum College soon. Can anyone who's been to the campus give me an idea of the layout or any tips on navigating the campus? Much appreciated.

Hello! Ferrum College has a beautiful campus set in a rural area, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. The campus is fairly compact and walkable, making it relatively easy to navigate. I'll give you a brief overview of the campus layout and some tips to help you get around.

First, upon arriving, you'll likely enter campus on Ferrum Mountain Road, which leads to the main entrance. The Admissions Office is located in Spilman Hall near the front entrance, and this is likely where you'll start your visit. You can pick up a campus map there if you haven't already received one.

The residential areas and academic buildings are clustered together, so you won't have far to walk to get from one place to another. The buildings are mostly situated around a central loop. In the western part of the campus, you'll find the Virginia & Stanley Adams Hall, which contains offices and classrooms for the College of Arts and Sciences.

On the eastern side of the campus, you'll find more academic buildings, including Garber Hall, which houses classrooms and facilities for the College of Health Sciences and Professional Studies. The Swartz Gym and the Panther Field House are also located in this area, primarily for athletic facilities.

When navigating the campus, it's helpful to orient yourself using landmarks like the Hart International Plaza, a central gathering place on campus, or the John P. Wheeler Mall, a tree-lined promenade that stretches between many of the academic buildings.
