How diverse is Cornell?

Hey everyone! I'm currently looking at potential colleges and Cornell REALLY caught my eye. I value diversity a lot, so I was just wondering what the diversity at Cornell is like? I'd love to hear from current students or anyone with info on this. Much appreciated!

Hi there! Cornell University is known for its diverse student body. In Fall 2022, the university reported that 48% of their undergraduate student population identified as domestic students of color, which includes African American, Hispanic, Asian American, and Pacific Islander students, among others. Additionally, international students represent around 11% of the student body, coming from a variety of countries and adding to the overall diversity.

The university also works to promote inclusivity through various cultural clubs, affinity groups, and other organizations. There are numerous offices and initiatives on campus that aim to support students from various backgrounds, such as the Office of Academic Diversity Initiatives, LGBT Resource Center, Women's Resource Center, and more. Many students have reported feeling that Cornell's environment is open and accepting of people from all backgrounds.

However, keep in mind that individual experiences can vary. When visiting the campus or talking to current students, make sure to ask about their personal experiences with diversity at Cornell to get a comprehensive understanding of the campus environment.
