I'm a high school athlete considering Mount Vernon Nazarene University for college. What division are their athletic teams in? And if anyone has any experiences with their athletic programs or facilities, I'd love to hear about it!
Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), and their athletic teams compete in the Crossroads League. The NAIA is an association that emphasizes the values of character, competitive, and academic development for student-athletes. It is different from the NCAA, and there are not separate divisions, but still offers a great level of competition and opportunities for collegiate athletes.
As for the athletic programs and facilities at MVNU, they offer a range of sports for both men and women. Men's sports include baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, track & field, and volleyball, while women's sports include basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, track & field, and volleyball. The facilities available for student-athletes are generally well-maintained, and the university continues to invest in the development and improvement of these amenities.
