University of Iowa student population?

Hi guys, I'm currently researching the University of Iowa and trying to decide if it's a good fit for me. Can anyone help me out with the current student population stats? Like, how big is the campus and how big are class sizes? Thanks!

Hello! It's great that you're looking into the University of Iowa to see if it's a good fit for you. The University of Iowa has a medium-large campus and is located in Iowa City, which is a classic college town with a population of around 75,000.

As for the student population, the University of Iowa has approximately 30,000 students, including both undergraduate and graduate students. Among undergraduates, around 22,000 students are enrolled. The university's student-to-faculty ratio is 15:1, which allows for a good balance between large lecture-based classes and smaller, more intimate discussion sections. Some introductory courses will be larger, but as you progress into more specialized courses, the class sizes tend to decrease.

It's important to visit the campus (if possible) to get a better feel for the environment and the community. Additionally, consider engaging with current students or alumni to gain more insight into their experiences and what makes the University of Iowa unique. Good luck with your college search!
