Hey all, I've been looking into Eastern Oregon University and I'm curious about the sports they offer and their division level. Does anyone know which division they compete in and if they have a good athletics program?
Eastern Oregon University (EOU) competes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). They are part of the Cascade Collegiate Conference, which includes schools from Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and British Columbia. EOU offers a variety of sports for both men and women including basketball, cross country, soccer, softball, track & field, and volleyball.
As for the quality of their athletics program, it can vary by sport, but overall, EOU has a solid program with a history of competitiveness in conference play and appearances in national tournaments. When evaluating whether an athletics program is a good fit, factors such as coaching staff, facilities, team culture, and level of competition can be important considerations. It can be helpful to attend games or athletic events, if possible, and connect with current student-athletes to get a sense of their experiences and the environment within the program.
