ACT conversion scale info?

Hi, I'm trying to find an ACT conversion scale to understand how my raw scores convert to scaled scores. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

To find the ACT conversion scale, you'll want to look up the individual conversion chart for each of the four sections: English, Math, Reading, and Science. After you get the scaled scores for each section, you can then average your scores and multiply by 1/4 (round to the nearest whole number if needed) to find the composite score. The composite score ranges from 1 to 36.

Unfortunately, the conversion scale for raw scores to scaled scores varies from test to test based on the difficulty of that particular exam. The ACT doesn't release an official conversion scale for all test-takers to access, but they do provide a "Table of Test Specifications and Descriptions of Tasks" with general information in their Technical Manual. This may give you a rough idea of the conversion scales. You can find this document by going to the ACT website and searching for the "ACT Technical Manual."

Alternatively, you can practice with official ACT prep materials that include more updated scoring guidelines for specific test versions. These materials might offer better examples of raw-to-scaled score conversions since they are based on actual tests administered in recent years.

It's essential to remember that the conversion scales can differ for each test, so the best way to gauge your performance is by practicing with real ACT tests and closely reviewing their respective scales. This will give you more accurate and helpful insight into your potential performance on the official ACT exam.
