Hey everyone, I was just wondering: what's a good GPA to aim for if I want to apply to the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss)? Any insight or advice would be so helpful. Thank you!
Unfortunately, Ole Miss does not publicly release an average GPA for accepted students. However, I can provide some other information that you may find helpful.
If you are from Mississippi, you can gain automatic acceptance to Ole Miss if you have a GPA of 3.2 or above. If your GPA is lower, you can still lock in a spot if you hit certain scores on the SAT or ACT. For example, if you have a 2.5 GPA and a score of 16 or above on the ACT, or 880 or above on the SAT, you will be admitted to Ole Miss.
If you are not from Mississippi, you must have at least a 2.0 GPA to be considered for admission. However, based on the requirements for Mississippi residents, and the fact that, at public institutions, the admissions process for out-of-state students is usually more competitive, you'll likely want to have a 3.0 or above to be a competitive applicant, although higher is always better, of course!
Best of luck!
