In addition to the varsity teams, UW Madison offers club and intramural sports, which provide more opportunities for students to participate in athletics at various competitive levels. Club sports range from competitive club teams (for example, rugby, lacrosse, or ultimate frisbee) to more recreational-focused clubs (like sailing, ski & snowboard, or equestrian).
