Hello! It's great that you're considering criminology as a major. Texas has several quality criminology programs to offer. Here are a few schools with well-regarded criminology programs:

1. Sam Houston State University: Sam Houston State in Huntsville has a nationally recognized College of Criminal Justice which offers a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology. They also have numerous research centers and institutes, which will allow you to explore your interests in depth.

2. University of Texas at Dallas: UTD has an excellent criminology program within its School of Economic, Political, and Policy Sciences. The Bachelor of Science in Criminology gives you a strong foundation in criminal justice theory, research, and policy.

3. University of Texas at Arlington: Within its College of Liberal Arts, UT Arlington offers a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice. The program is designed to provide a strong foundation in criminological theory, research methods, and data analysis.

4. Texas State University: Texas State, located in San Marcos, has a School of Criminal Justice within its College of Applied Arts. They offer a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in either law enforcement or corrections.

5. Texas A&M University-Commerce: Texas A&M Commerce provides a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, and also has a related program in Sociology with a Criminal Justice emphasis.
