Best undergrad PT schools?

Hey guys, I'm considering a career in physical therapy and I'd like to know some of the top undergraduate physical therapy schools in the US. Any suggestions or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

While physical therapy programs are typically offered at the graduate level, there are a few universities that offer undergraduate programs designed to support students' goals of becoming physical therapists. These programs often come in the form of pre-physical therapy tracks or combined bachelor's/master's programs, which give students a strong foundation in the necessary coursework before they enter a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. Here are a few schools with strong pre-physical therapy or direct-entry programs:

1. University of Miami: Offers a 6-year combined Bachelor of Science in Health Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy program, allowing students to complete their undergraduate and graduate studies seamlessly.

2. Boston University: Students in their undergraduate programs can choose the Sargent College Pre-Physical Therapy track, which offers dedicated advising and coursework tailored for students planning to enter a DPT program.

3. Marquette University: Has a 6-year Direct Entry Physical Therapy program, in which students earn a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

4. Northeastern University: Offers a 6-year DPT program, where students complete a Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Science and then continue on to the DPT program.

5. Ithaca College: Students can enroll in the 6-year Physical Therapy program, earning a Bachelor in Clinical Health Studies and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.

These are just a few examples of schools that have strong programs focused around physical therapy as an undergraduate. When considering a program, keep in mind factors such as class size, location, available resources, and opportunities for experiential learning like internships and research. Additionally, make sure to maintain a strong GPA and complete the necessary prerequisite courses, as this will be important for gaining acceptance into a DPT program after completing your undergraduate degree.
