How important are AP Physics scores for college admissions?

Hey everyone! I'm currently taking AP Physics and trying to gauge how important the scores are for college admissions. Should I aim for a specific score to impress top schools, or do they mostly just care that I took the class? Any advice would be appreciated.

AP Physics scores are generally not as important for college admissions as the AP course itself and the grade you receive in the class. Colleges care more about your coursework and performance throughout the year (i.e., maintaining a strong GPA) rather than a single test score. That said, a good AP score (4 or 5) is a nice bonus and showcases your understanding of the subject material.
