How to decide which AP exams to take?

Hi guys! I'm a junior, and I'm planning on taking some AP exams this year. I'm not sure which ones to take, as I've heard that some are more important for college admissions than others. How do I decide which AP exams are the most beneficial for my college applications? Thanks in advance!

Hello! It's great that you're considering taking AP exams to strengthen your college applications. To make the best decision, I would recommend first looking at the subjects that genuinely interest you and where you excel. Taking AP exams in those areas will not only be more enjoyable, but you'll likely perform better too. Additionally, if you have a specific major or career in mind, try to focus on AP exams that are relevant to that field. For example, if you're planning on studying engineering, taking AP Calculus and AP Physics would be beneficial. Lastly, consider the reputation of the AP exams themselves. Some are known for being more rigorous and may be more impressive to college admissions officers, like AP Calculus BC or AP Chemistry. However, don't forget that your personal interests and strengths should be the key factors in choosing the exams. Good luck with your decision, and I hope you do well on your chosen exams!
