Lewis and Clark College Engineering Program?

I've heard Lewis and Clark College has an engineering program, but I can't seem to find too much information online. Does anyone have any insights or experiences with this program? What are the main areas of focus, and how are the engineering courses?

While it's true that Lewis and Clark College does not have a full-fledged engineering department or major, they do offer a 3-2 dual-degree engineering program in partnership with other schools like Columbia University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and Washington University in St. Louis. The idea is that students spend three years at Lewis and Clark, completing a liberal arts education along with the prerequisite engineering courses, and then they transfer to one of the partner institutions and spend two more years focusing solely on engineering courses. At the end of the five years, the students would earn two degrees: a Bachelor of Arts in their major from Lewis and Clark and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the partner institution.

As a result, the engineering focus mainly depends on the engineering courses you'll take at the partner college you transfer to. You'll have various options for engineering specializations, such as civil, electrical, computer, biomedical, chemical, and more, depending on the partner college you choose. In the first three years at Lewis and Clark, you'll be taking the required math, physics, and general education courses to prepare you for the following two years of specialized engineering coursework at the partner institution.

I've heard that the 3-2 dual-degree program can be a great experience for the right student who wants to combine a liberal arts experience with an engineering education. However, keep in mind that transferring between institutions and completing the program in five years requires careful planning and dedication, as well as a strong academic performance throughout your time at both colleges.
