Hey all, I'll be taking the SAT soon, and I want to make sure I have the right type of photo ID. What forms of photo ID do they accept? And can I use a school ID instead of a government-issued one? Thanks!
Hey! It's important to have the right ID for the SAT. The College Board accepts various forms of photo IDs, such as a government-issued ID like a driver's license, a passport, or a state/military-issued photo ID. Keep in mind that the ID must be an original and not expired.
Using a school ID is possible, but it has to be an original, current, government or school-issued ID. The school ID should have a photo and the student's name on it. Make sure it's not expired and that it matches the information you provided while registering for the test, such as your date of birth and name.
Keep in mind that some types of IDs are not accepted, such as social security cards, birth certificates, or temporary IDs. To ensure a smooth test day, make sure you bring a valid ID that meets all the stated requirements. Good luck on the SAT!
