LSU average SAT score?

Hi everyone! I'm looking into applying to LSU and am curious about the average SAT score for admitted students. Can anyone help me out with this information? I'd like to know if my current score is competitive enough. Thanks!

Hi there! According to the most recent data, the middle 50% of SAT scores for students admitted to Louisiana State University (LSU) generally fall within the range of 1130 to 1310. This means that 25% of admitted students score below 1130, while another 25% score above 1310. Keep in mind that these numbers can change slightly from year to year, but it should give you a good idea of what LSU is looking for in terms of SAT scores.

If your current SAT score falls within or above this range, you should be competitive for admission based on this factor alone. However, remember that LSU, like most universities, considers various aspects of your application, so even if your score is slightly below this range, other aspects of your application, such as strong extracurricular involvement, good grades, and well-written essays, can still make you a viable candidate.

Good luck with your application!
