AP test costs?

Hey everyone, I'm a junior who will be taking a few AP exams later this year. Could someone fill me in on how much each AP test costs? Is the fee the same for all of them, or do some cost more than others? Thanks!

Hey there! As of now, the cost for each AP exam is the same regardless of which subject you're taking. For the 2023-2024 school year, the standard fee for each AP exam is $98. If you plan to take an exam at a school outside of the United States, the cost is $128 per exam.

It's important to note that if you're eligible for financial assistance, the College Board does offer fee reductions for eligible students, which can reduce the cost of taking AP exams. Usually, the fee reduction is around $33, but it can vary depending on your situation and your school's participation. I'd advise you to talk to your school's AP Coordinator to learn more about available financial assistance and to see if you may qualify for any fee reductions or additional support.

Keep in mind that if you register to take an AP exam and decide to cancel or not attend the test, you may still be subject to a cancellation or unused exam fee. So make sure to confirm your commitments before registering for the exams. Good luck with your AP exams!
