I am planning to apply to UMass Amherst, and I was hoping someone could give me an idea of the SAT score range they're looking for. I want to make sure my scores are competitive enough for this school. Thanks, guys!
UMass Amherst, like many universities, does have a general range of SAT scores for their accepted applicants. To give you an idea, for the fall 2023 incoming class, the middle 50% SAT score range for accepted applicants was between 1330 and 1490. This means that 25% of accepted students scored below 1330, and 25% scored above 1490.
Keep in mind, though, that these are only the statistics for one particular year, and ranges may shift slightly from year to year. Also, remember that while standardized test scores are an important part of your application, they are not the only factor UMass Amherst considers in their admissions process.
To ensure the most competitive application, focus on maintaining a strong GPA, participating in meaningful extracurricular activities, securing compelling letters of recommendation, and writing a compelling personal essay. This holistic approach will give you the best chance of gaining admission to UMass Amherst or any other college that you may apply to. Good luck with your application!
