Hello! I just got my AP scores back, and I have mostly 5s, but one 4. I'm worried that this 4 might hurt my chances when applying to Ivy League schools. Should I be concerned or is a 4 still considered a good score by these universities? Thank you!
Hello there! Congratulations on your strong AP scores! The fact that you have mostly 5s and only one 4 demonstrates a high level of academic performance.
A score of 4 is still considered a good score and should not be a cause for concern. Ivy League schools understand that not everyone will get perfect scores on every exam. They are more focused on seeing a well-rounded perspective of your abilities, achievements, and potential.
Keep in mind that your entire application plays a significant role in college admissions. Admissions officers consider your transcript, extracurricular activities, recommendations, and essay, in addition to standardized test scores. One 4 on an AP test should not overshadow your other successes and accomplishments.
Stay confident and focus on presenting your strengths and achievements in the best way possible when applying. Good luck, and I hope this has eased your concern!
