Getting into Princeton with subpar grades?

Hi all, I've been dreaming of going to Princeton, but my grades aren't exactly stellar. I do have strong test scores and several best-in-state awards. Is there any chance I could get in if I put together a strong application highlighting my other achievements?

Hello! While it's true that elite universities like Princeton tend to admit students with strong academic records, it's important to know that they also consider the whole applicant when making decisions. In other words, your test scores and awards can definitely help you make a case for being a strong applicant.

One way to increase your chances is to focus on creating an exceptional application that highlights your unique strengths, passions, and experiences. This could involve showcasing your leadership skills, extracurricular activities, or community service. Additionally, work on crafting strong essays to give the admissions committee a better understanding of who you are and what you would bring to their campus.

In the end, don't be discouraged by your grades not being perfect. Keep in mind that even students with exceptional grades are not guaranteed admission. Simply do your best to present your achievements and personality in your application, as well as how you would contribute to the Princeton community. Good luck!
