University of North Texas: Admission Requirements

Hey everyone! I'm considering applying to the University of North Texas and wanted to know what their general admission requirements are, like GPA and SAT/ACT scores. Any advice for a stressed-out junior?

Hey there! I understand the college application process can be stressful, but I'm here to help you out with information on the University of North Texas (UNT) admission requirements.

First, let's discuss GPA. UNT does not have a strict minimum GPA requirement, but they do consider your high school coursework and grades. It's worth noting that UNT offers guarenteed admission to any applicant with an unweighted GPA of 3.0 or above (on a 4.0 scale), and to students with lower GPAs as well, provided they meet certain class rank and SAT/ACT score requirements.

As for standardized test scores, starting from Fall 2022, UNT is test-optional for students who meet a certain GPA threshold, meaning submitting SAT or ACT scores is not mandatory if you have sufficiently high GPA. For reference, UNT's middle 50% range for SAT and ACT scores are 1010-1230 and19-27, respectively.

Double-check application deadlines so you're well-prepared. UNT has a deadline of March 1 for their Priority Admission, which gives you an opportunity to receive scholarship consideration and an earlier application decision.

Good luck with your application process! Remember, stay organized and give yourself enough time to complete each aspect of the application to reduce stress levels.
