Alabama University SAT Requirements?

Does anyone know the SAT score requirements for Alabama University? I'm pretty interested in applying there, and I want to make sure my SAT score is in the right range. Thanks!

Alabama University, or more specifically, the University of Alabama, is moderately selective when it comes to SAT scores for admission. The school is currently test optional, but looking at the average admitted students' scores can help give you an idea of where you should aim if you want to submit scores. For the University of Alabama, the 25th-75th percentile SAT scores for admitted students are as follows:

1160 – 1330 (AL Resident)

1170 – 1400 (Non-Resident)

To maximize your chances of being accepted, it's a good idea to aim for a score close to or above the 75th percentile. However, keep in mind that the university evaluates applicants holistically, considering not only your SAT scores but also your high school performance (GPA, course rigor), extracurricular activities, letters of recommendation, and admissions essays. So, while a strong SAT score can help, it's important to focus on the other aspects of your application as well.

It's also worth noting that you can increase your chances further, and possibly qualify for merit-based scholarships, if you have a higher SAT score or a strong overall application. Good luck with the application process!
