List of D1 colleges?

Hey there, I'm a junior trying to figure out which colleges I should be applying to, and I'm particularly interested in schools with strong athletic programs. Could anyone provide a list of D1 colleges, or a resource where I can find this information? Thanks!

Hi! It's great that you have an interest in Division I colleges, as they tend to have strong athletic programs. There are more than 350 NCAA Division I colleges and universities across the United States, so I won't be able to list them all here. However, I can direct you to the NCAA's own website, where you can find a complete and updated list of all Division I schools. Here is the link to the NCAA's school directory search page: https://web3.ncaa.org/directory/

On this page, you can filter the search results by choosing "Division I" under the Division section and hitting "Search Directory". You will then be provided with a list of all the D1 colleges, their conferences, and more. You can also filter by state or look for specific schools if you have some in mind. This resource will be really helpful for you to explore colleges with strong athletic programs and ensure that they meet your academic and athletic interests.

As you research these schools, make sure to also pay attention to their academic programs, location, campus life, and other factors that might be important to you. While athletics can be a significant consideration, also remember to balance it with factors that will contribute to your overall college experience and life after graduation.

Best of luck with your college search!
