What SAT score should I aim for while applying to Boston University?

Hi all, I'm working on my college list and BU is one of my top choices. I was wondering if someone could tell me the SAT score range that most BU applicants have, just so I can get a sense of what I should be aiming for. Cheers!

Hi! It's a wise choice to set a target SAT score when applying to college. For Boston University, you'll want to aim for a competitive score to improve your chances of admission. The middle 50% range of admitted students typically falls between 1410 and 1500. This means that 25% of admitted students scored below 1410, while another 25% scored above 1500.

To be a strong applicant, it's a good idea to aim for at least the middle of this range (around 1450) or higher. Keep in mind that a higher score will make you more competitive, but it's also important to consider other components of your application, such as GPA, extracurricular activities, and essays.

Remember that Boston University evaluates applicants holistically, so your SAT score is just one factor in the admissions process. Still, preparing and achieving a strong SAT score will help boost your overall application and increase your chances of getting into BU. Good luck with your preparation and college applications!
