How to demonstrate interest without in-person college visits?

Hi there! I'm a junior and unfortunately it's not financially feasible for me to visit all the schools on my list. How can I show my interest in a college without physically visiting? Would appreciate any advice, thanks!

Hello! It's definitely challenging to show interest in colleges without being able to physically visit. However, there are still plenty of ways for you to demonstrate your enthusiasm for a particular college.

Firstly, attend virtual college fairs or online information sessions organized by the colleges you're interested in. This will not only allow you to learn more about the school but also provide opportunities to network with admissions staff and current students.

Secondly, engage with the college on social media platforms – follow their pages, like their posts, and participate in discussions as appropriate. This shows that you're actively keeping yourself updated on what's happening at the college.

Writing a thoughtful and well-researched 'Why this college?' essay on your application is another excellent way to express your interest. Mention specifics like programs, courses, faculty members, or any other unique opportunities that the college offers which align with your goals.

Lastly, consider reaching out to current students or alumni to discuss their experiences and gain insights that would help shape your understanding of the school.

Good luck!
