D2 Colleges in Arizona

Hey friends, I'm looking to apply to colleges with Division 2 sports programs, and I'm considering staying in-state. Can anyone help me out with a list of D2 colleges in Arizona? Thanks so much!

Hey! Good to hear that you're interested in Division 2 sports programs, unfortunately there aren't a ton of options, but I'll share the ones that I'm aware of:

1. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Prescott): They are part of the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) and have sports teams like basketball, soccer, cross country, golf, and track and field.

2. Western New Mexico University: While this university is technically located in New Mexico, its proximity to the Arizona border makes it a popular option for Arizona students looking for a D2 experience. Western New Mexico teams are part of the Lone Star Conference, offering sports like basketball, golf, soccer, softball, and tennis.

Keep in mind that each of these colleges has its own unique academic programs, campus culture, and scholarships for athletes, so I recommend visiting their websites and contacting the athletics department to learn more about what they have to offer. Additionally, don't forget to consider factors such as your intended major, desired campus size, and support services when making your decision.

Good luck in your college search and your future in Division 2 athletics!
