Are phones allowed at the SAT test center?

Hey everyone, I'm gearing up to take my SAT and I was just wondering if we're allowed to bring our phones into the test center. I know there are strict policies regarding certain items in the testing room, but I just wanted to double-check before I head in about bringing my phone with me at all. Thanks for your help!

Hey there! You're correct that there are strict policies regarding items you can bring to the test center. While you are allowed to bring your phone to the test center, you must turn it off and keep it out of your reach during the exam. In fact, you're not allowed to access your phone at all during the test, including during breaks. It's best to store your phone in a bag or backpack and leave it in your designated area, as instructed by the test proctor.

Violation of this rule can lead to your test being invalidated, so it's crucial to adhere to these guidelines. If you think you might be tempted to check your phone or feel that having it nearby could be a potential distraction, it might be better to leave it at home or in your car. Good luck on your SAT!
