How to decide if I should apply to a college as a test-optional applicant?

Hello! Some of the colleges I'm applying to have gone test-optional due to COVID-19. How do I decide if I should submit my test scores or go test-optional? Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hey there! It's great to see that you're putting thought into whether or not to submit your test scores. Here's what I recommend: first, research the mid-50% SAT/ACT score range for the colleges you're interested in. You can usually find this information on the college's admissions website or through a quick online search. If your test scores fall within or above that range, it's probably a good idea to submit them, as they could strengthen your application. If your scores are below that range, you might want to consider going test-optional. Keep in mind that if you choose not to submit your test scores, other aspects of your application (like your GPA, extracurricular activities, and essays) will become even more important. Good luck with your college applications, and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any more questions!
