How to access PSAT scores?

Hi everyone! I took the PSAT this year and I'm curious about how to access my scores. Can someone help me navigate through the process of finding my PSAT results?

Hi there! To access your PSAT scores, you'll need to follow these steps:

1. Create or sign in to your College Board account: The PSAT scores are released through the College Board, the organization responsible for administering the exam. If you don't have an account yet, go to the College Board website (collegeboard.org) and create one with your personal information. If you already have an account, sign in.

2. Access your dashboard: Once you've signed in to your College Board account, you'll be directed to your personalized dashboard. From there, you will be able to navigate to sections related to your PSAT scores.

3. Find your scores: In your dashboard, look for a section titled "PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, and PSAT 8/9 Scores." Click on the link to access these scores. If you don't see your scores right away, don't worry, as the scores are usually released on a rolling basis. Keep checking back periodically as the scores will eventually become available.

4. Understand your scores: Upon accessing your scores, you'll get a detailed report which includes your total score (out of a possible 1520), as well as scores for each of the two sections: Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, and Math. Additionally, you'll find your percentile ranking, which shows the percentage of test takers who scored lower than you, as well as detailed breakdowns of your performance in specific areas.

5. Review your score report: The score report provides valuable insights and suggestions to identify areas in which you can improve. It also connects you with personalized resources, like the Khan Academy's Official SAT Practice, to help you prepare for the SAT. Make sure to review the report thoroughly to make the most of the information provided.

Remember, PSAT scores are not sent to colleges and are meant to give you an idea of your current performance and potential for success on the SAT. Once you have your PSAT results, use them to inform your SAT preparation and focus on areas that need improvement. Good luck!
