University of Arizona - Good ACT Score?

I'm looking into applying for the University of Arizona, and I'm curious about what a good ACT score would be for getting admitted. Can anyone give me a ballpark of what I should aim for or share their experiences? Thanks!

A good ACT score for admission to the University of Arizona typically falls within the middle 50% range, which is between 21 and 29. In general, a score within this range gives you a reasonable chance of being considered for admission. However, it's essential to remember that the University of Arizona looks at more than just test scores during their admissions process, including factors like your GPA, course rigor, and extracurricular activities.

It's always a good idea to aim for a score at or above the 75th percentile to increase your chances further. For the University of Arizona, a score of 29 or higher might be considered more competitive. Keep in mind that every applicant is different, though, and a lower score doesn't necessarily mean you won't be admitted - it just means you might need to strengthen other parts of your application.

Of course, the higher your ACT score, the better your chances of earning merit scholarships and being admitted to more selective programs within the university. If you're looking to maximize your chances not only for admission but also for scholarships, you might want to aim even higher than a 29.

It is worth noting, though, that University of Arizona is actually test-optional, which means you are not required to submit an ACT (or SAT) score. For the general admissions process, many students have taken advantage of this policy - in recent years, only about half of accepted applicants submitted a test score.

However, as noted above, it could still be wise for you personally to send in a test score, depending on your goals at the University of Arizona. Good luck with your application, and remember to focus on strengthening all aspects of your application beyond just your ACT score!
