Hello! The SAT has transitioned to a fully digital format as of Spring 2024. Here's the structure and duration of the digital SAT:
1. Reading and Writing: This section consists of two 32-minute modules, with a total of 54 questions. You'll have approximately 71 seconds per question.
2. Math: This section includes two 35-minute modules, with a total of 44 questions. You'll have about 96 seconds per question, or a little over a minute and a half.
The digital SAT lasts for a total of 134 minutes to complete 98 questions. Keep in mind that there may be some additional time allotted for instructions and breaks but, in general, you can expect the test to take about 2 hours and 14 minutes, excluding breaks. It's a good idea to arrive at the testing center early to account for check-in procedures and to give yourself ample time to settle in before the test begins.
