Can you take the SAT at home?

With everything going on recently, I was wondering if there's an option to take the SAT at home, like some other tests have done. Has anyone heard about it or experienced it?

As of now, the College Board does not offer an at-home version of the SAT. Although the SAT has become fully digital starting from spring 2024, students are still required to take the test at a designated testing center or their schools under the supervision of a proctor. This is to ensure the integrity and fairness of the exam for all test-takers.

To register for the SAT, you will need to visit the College Board website, create an account, and choose an available testing center and date that works best for you. Make sure to prepare in advance and familiarize yourself with the test format, as well as any health and safety guidelines that may be in place at your testing location.

The PSAT, which also went digital beginning in Fall 2023, follows a similar policy and must be taken at a school or testing center as well.

Remember to give yourself ample time to study and prepare for the SAT, using available resources such as practice tests, study guides, and online forums for tips and advice. Good luck on your test!
