Is a 33 ACT score competitive for Ivy League applications?

I took the ACT and got a 33, and now I'm worried if it's good enough for Ivy League colleges. Has anyone here applied and gotten in with a similar score? I'm trying to figure out if I should retake it or not.

Congratulations on your 33 ACT score! It definitely puts you in a strong position, but there is no guarantee it will be enough for Ivy League admissions. It's essential to keep in mind that Ivy League colleges have a holistic admissions process, which means they evaluate multiple aspects of your application beyond just test scores.

I personally know several students who were admitted to Ivy League schools with ACT scores in the low 30s. It is entirely possible to get in with a 33 if you can showcase other impressive qualities, such as strong extracurricular involvement, community service, leadership, outstanding achievements, and a well-rounded profile.

It's completely up to you if you want to retake the ACT. Consider your potential for a higher score, and weigh it against the time you could spend improving other aspects of your application. If you decide not to retake it, focus on crafting a compelling application that demonstrates your unique strengths and passions. Good luck!
