Hey there! As of Spring 2024, the SAT has transitioned to a fully digital format. The test is now divided into four modules—two focused on Reading & Writing and two focused on Math. Each module is timed as follows:
1. Reading and Writing: Two 32-minute modules, with a total of 54 questions. You'll have about 71 seconds per question.
2. Math: Two 35-minute modules, with a total of 44 questions. You have about 96 seconds per question, which is a little over a minute and a half.
The overall duration of the digital SAT is 134 minutes to complete all 98 questions. In addition to the testing time, you'll also have brief breaks in between modules. It's important to be mentally and physically prepared for the duration of the exam, so make sure to take practice tests using the same timeframe to simulate the test day experience.
