Hi there! Does anyone know how long the online PSAT takes? Is it significantly different from the in-person version in terms of time?
The online PSAT, also known as the digital PSAT/NMSQT, has the following structure:
- Reading and Writing: two 32-minute modules, to complete 54 questions. You have about 71 seconds per question.
- Math: two 35-minute modules, to complete 44 questions. You have 96 seconds per question, or a little over a minute and a half.
The total duration of the digital PSAT/NMSQT is 134 minutes, to complete 98 questions. In terms of time, the online PSAT is not significantly different from the traditional in-person version. The main difference is the digital format of the exam, and the fact that it now allows the use of a calculator on both math modules. Good luck!
