Need help reporting AP scores

Hi everyone! I'm in the process of applying to colleges and I need to report my AP scores. Can someone tell me the proper way to go about reporting AP scores to colleges?

Sure, I'd be happy to help you with that! There are two ways you can report your AP scores to colleges during the application process: self-reporting and sending official score reports.

1. Self-reporting: Most colleges allow you to self-report your AP scores on the application itself. This means you simply list your scores in the designated section of the application (usually under test scores or academic information). Keep in mind that you only need to report the scores you feel strengthen your application. If you have lower scores that you think might hurt your chances, you have the option not to include them. The most important aspect of AP courses is the rigor they represent in your schedule and how well you performed in the classes, not necessarily the exam scores.

2. Sending official score reports: After you've been accepted to a college and decided to enroll, many colleges will request an official AP score report from the College Board. To do this, you can log into your College Board account and select the option to send your AP scores. There will be a fee associated with sending these official score reports, but most colleges don't require official score reports until you've committed to attending. Keep in mind that some submitted AP scores can qualify for college credit or advanced placement, depending on the school's AP credit policy.

In summary, when applying to colleges, you can self-report your AP scores in the application. Once you've been accepted and decided where to attend, you can send an official score report directly from the College Board. Remember to check each college's specific requirements and deadlines to make sure you comply with their policies. Good luck with your applications!
