How does a 20 on the ACT compare to SAT scores?

Hey everyone, I got a 20 on my ACT and I'm wondering how it compares to SAT scores. Is there a way to convert my score to get an idea of what it would be on the SAT, so I can evaluate my options better? Thanks!

Sure, I'd be happy to help! The ACT and SAT have different scoring scales, so it's important to understand how the scores equate if you want to make a comparison. A 20 on the ACT is roughly equivalent to a 1030 on the SAT.

Keep in mind that this is just a general comparison, as the exams assess different types of skills and knowledge, with the SAT leaning more towards math and evidence-based reading and writing, while the ACT evaluates English, math, reading, and science. So, your score on one doesn't necessarily directly correlate to a particular score on the other.

As you evaluate your options, you should consider which test is better suited for your strengths. I'd recommend taking a practice SAT to see how your scores compare, while accounting for the fact that you're less familiar with this test's format. Then, decide which exam you're better suited for, and proceed accordingly.

Good luck with your test preparations!
