Should I submit all my SAT scores?

I've taken the SAT multiple times and have a pretty wide range of scores. Is it better to send all my scores to colleges or just the highest ones? What do you think?

The answer to this question depends on the college's score-sending policy. There are three primary policies that colleges use: superscoring, score choice, and "all scores required."

1. Superscoring: Some colleges use a policy called superscoring, which means they will take the highest section score from multiple sittings and combine them into a single superscore. If the schools on your list superscore, it's a good idea to send all your SAT test scores so that they can calculate the highest possible superscore for you.

2. Score Choice: Other colleges allow applicants to use Score Choice, which lets you decide which test scores to send. In this case, you can submit only your highest SAT scores.

3. "All Scores Required": Lastly, a few colleges require interested applicants to submit all SAT scores. These schools may review the upward trend and/or specific section improvements in their evaluation process, so you'll need to send all your scores regardless of the range.

It's essential to research the score-sending policies of each college on your list to make an informed decision. If a school does not have a clear policy, you can reach out to their admissions office for guidance.

Keep in mind that while strong SAT scores are beneficial, colleges typically employ a holistic review process, considering many different aspects of your application, such as coursework, grades, extracurricular activities, and essays.
