Washington and Lee University SAT requirements?

Hi fellow applicants! I'm thinking about applying to Washington and Lee University and I'm worried about the SAT requirements. Does anyone know the minimum or recommended scores for this school?

Washington and Lee University doesn't have a minimum SAT score requirement, as they evaluate applications holistically, considering multiple aspects beyond test scores. They are also currently test-optional for the 2024-25 admissions cycle. That said, it can still be helpful to know the middle 50% SAT scores of previously admitted students to get an idea of the typical score range for successful applicants.

For the Class of 2027, the middle 50% SAT scores for accepted students ranged between 1430 and 1510.

These score ranges indicate that 50% of the admitted students had SAT scores within this range, while 25% had scores below 1430 and 25% had scores above 1510. Keep in mind that these are not strict cutoffs, but they can serve as a helpful benchmark to estimate your competitiveness in the applicant pool.

While it's important to aim for a strong SAT score, don't forget that Washington and Lee evaluates other factors, such as GPA, course rigor, extracurricular activities, letters of recommendation, and essays. Focusing on excelling in all aspects of your application will help improve your chances of admission. Good luck!
