Why hasn't my SAT score come out yet?

Hey everyone, I took the SAT a few weeks ago and all my friends have received their scores, but I haven't gotten mine yet. Is this normal or should I be worried? What should I do if my score still doesn't come in the next few days?

While it's natural to feel anxious about receiving your SAT scores, delays in score release can happen for various reasons. Sometimes, it can simply be due to a large volume of test takers during that particular test date, which can cause some scores to be delayed. In other cases, there might be a processing issue or review taking place for a specific test center.

First, check the score release schedule for the test date you took your SAT. Generally, scores are made available within two weeks after your test date, but this timeframe can vary. If it's beyond the planned release date, you might consider contacting the College Board directly to inquire about the status of your scores.

Keep monitoring your College Board account for updates and don't hesitate to reach out to their customer support if you continue to not receive your scores. Providing them with your registration number, test date, and test center code will be helpful when speaking with them about your situation. Also, make sure to check the email associated with your College Board account regularly, as they may send updates or additional information about the delay.

In the meantime, try to stay patient and remember that even if your score is delayed, it shouldn't impact your college application submission, especially if you're applying for regular decision. If you're worried about specific college deadlines approaching, you can always reach out to the admissions offices of those colleges to inform them of the situation and ask for guidance. They're usually understanding and accommodating in cases like this.
