SAT score needed for Harvard?

Hey guys, I'm aiming high and really want to try for Harvard. Does anyone know what kind of SAT scores are generally considered competitive for admission to Harvard? I know it's not the only factor, but I'd like to have a goal in mind.

Hey there! It's fantastic that you're setting your sights on Harvard. You're right that standardized test scores are only one part of the holistic admissions process, but it's still important to aim for a competitive score.

For the Class of 2027, Harvard's middle 50% SAT score range was 1500-1580. This means that 25% of admitted students scored below 1500, while 25% scored above 1580. To be competitive, you should aim for a score within or above this range. Keep in mind, though, that even a high SAT score is no guarantee of admission, as other factors such as GPA, recommendations, essays, and extracurricular activities play a significant role in the admissions process.

As a goal, try to score at least in the upper end of the middle 50% range, which in this case would be around 1550 or higher. This will help demonstrate your strong academic abilities and make you a more competitive applicant. However, remember to also focus on crafting a well-rounded application and developing your unique strengths and passions. Good luck with your preparation!
