University of Michigan SAT requirements?

I'm looking into applying to the University of Michigan but am unsure about their SAT requirements. Does anyone know if there's a minimum score I should be aiming for, or if they have test-optional policies now? Thanks a bunch!

As of the 2024-2025 application cycle, the University of Michigan is still test-optional. This means you have the choice of whether or not to submit your SAT scores as part of your application. If you think your SAT scores will enhance your application and reflect your academic abilities, you can choose to submit them. If not, you can apply without them, and the absence of test scores will not put you at a disadvantage.

Since there's no minimum SAT score requirement at the University of Michigan, it's helpful to look at the middle 50% range for admitted students. As of recent data, here are the middle 50% SAT ranges:

- SAT Reading and Writing: 670-750

- SAT Math: 680-780

These are not strict cutoffs but can be useful reference points if you decide to submit your scores.

When applying to the University of Michigan, other factors—such as your academic performance, essays, extracurricular involvement, and recommendation letters—are also significant parts of your application. So, whether or not you submit your SAT scores, it's important to present a compelling application that demonstrates your strengths and potential contributions to the university.

Good luck with your application!
