What's a perfect GPA?

Hey guys, I've been trying to figure out what a perfect GPA is. Can someone please explain to me how the GPA scale works and what it signifies?

A perfect GPA typically refers to the highest possible grade point average on a specific scale. The GPA scale commonly comes in two versions: unweighted and weighted.

Unweighted GPA: The unweighted GPA scale goes from 0 to 4.0. A perfect unweighted GPA would be a 4.0, meaning a student has consistently received A's in their courses.

Typically, it ranges from 0 to 5.0 or 6.0, depending on the school. In this scale, an A in an advanced or honors course may be worth 5.0 or 6.0 points (depending on the scale used), while an A in a standard course still retains the 4.0 value. Therefore, a perfect weighted GPA would be either a 5.0 or a 6.0, depending on the system used, signifying that the student has consistently received top grades in challenging coursework.

Keep in mind that GPA scales can vary between high schools and universities, so it's essential to understand the specific scale used by your institution.
