Recommended senior year math classes?

Hey everyone, what math classes would you guys recommend for my senior year? I'm trying to maintain a strong academic rigor, but also want something that'll be manageable for my skill level. I've already taken Pre-Calculus and AP Calculus AB. Thanks in advance!

Hi there! Given that you've already taken Pre-Calculus and AP Calculus AB, your next natural step would be to take AP Calculus BC if it's offered at your school. It'll demonstrate that you're continuing to challenge yourself, and it should be a manageable step up from Calculus AB since you'll already have a solid foundation in calculus concepts.

Alternatively, if you'd prefer to explore a different area of mathematics, you can consider taking AP Statistics, which focuses on data analysis, probability, and working with real-world datasets. This course is typically considered somewhat less challenging than Calculus BC but still maintains a strong academic rigor. AP Statistics would also provide you with a useful skill set that can be applied across various disciplines in college.

Lastly, if you're interested in a more specialized math subject and have the opportunity at your school, you might look into courses such as Discrete Mathematics, Linear Algebra, or Multivariable Calculus. While these courses might not be AP classes, they signify that you are branching out and exploring advanced mathematical topics.

Ultimately, the best choice for you will depend on your interests and goals beyond high school, as well as the coursework that's available at your school. Good luck with your senior year!
