Necessary Items to Bring to the SAT?

Hey guys, my SAT is coming up and I want to make sure I'm fully prepared. What items should I bring with me to the testing center? Are there any must-haves or things that helped you during the test?

Hey there! It's important to make sure you're prepared for test day. Here's a list of items you should bring to the testing center for the SAT:

1. Admission ticket: Make sure you've printed out your admission ticket from your College Board account. This is required for entry into the testing center.

2. Photo ID: Bring a valid government-issued or school-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license, passport, or school ID card) that has your full name as it appears on your admission ticket.

3. Approved calculator: You're allowed to use a calculator on both math modules, so make sure you bring an approved calculator, preferably one you're familiar with. You can find the SAT calculator policy on the College Board website.

4. No. 2 pencils: Bring at least two sharpened No. 2 pencils with erasers. Note that mechanical pencils are not allowed.

5. Snacks and water: The SAT is a long test, so bring along snacks and water to have during the breaks to stay energized and hydrated.

6. A watch (without an alarm): While testing centers should have a clock, it's helpful to have your own watch (not a smartwatch) to keep track of the time during the test without relying on the room clock.

7. Extra batteries and a backup calculator: It's always a good idea to bring extra batteries for your calculator and even a backup calculator, just in case something goes wrong during the test.

8. Layered clothing: Dress in comfortable, layered clothing that you can adjust as needed to account for the temperature in the testing room.

9. Face mask: Some testing centers might require you to wear a face mask, so bring one along just in case.

10. Confidence and a positive attitude: Last but not least, bring a confident mindset and a positive attitude to help you tackle the test!

Best of luck on your SAT!
