Incorporating Math in AP Biology?

I'm currently enrolled in AP Bio and I've heard that there's a math component to the course. Can anyone explain how math is incorporated in AP Biology concepts and the exam? What level of math should I be comfortable with to succeed in this course?

Math does play a role in AP Biology, but it's generally not too complex. The math you'll encounter mainly involves basic algebra and arithmetic, with some emphasis on understanding and interpreting data. You will need to be comfortable working with percentages, fractions, scientific notation, and logarithms. Additionally, you might come across elementary concepts in probability and statistics.

In the context of AP Bio, math is used to analyze and interpret experimental data, such as understanding relationships between variables and calculating rates. You'll also use math to explore concepts like population dynamics, cell growth and division, and the behavior of molecules and particles (e.g., diffusion and osmosis).
