How are SAT test points distributed?

Hey, just wondering if anyone knows how the SAT test points are distributed among the different sections? I want to know which sections to focus on to get a higher score. Thanks!

The SAT is scored on a scale of 400 to 1600 points, with the points distributed between two main sections: Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (EBRW) and Math. Each of these sections is worth between 200 and 800 points, with the sum of the two sections providing your total score.

The EBRW section is further divided into two subsections: Reading and Writing & Language. The Reading subsection consists of 27 questions, and the Writing & Language subsection comprises another 27 questions. Both subsections are equally weighted, with the combined scores from these two subsections making up the 200-800 points for the EBRW section.

The Math section, like EBRW, is worth 200-800 points and consists of two 35-minute modules with a total of 44 questions. The Math section allows the use of a calculator throughout.

Ideally, you should focus on improving in both the EBRW and Math sections to maximize your overall SAT score. If you find that you're significantly stronger in one section over the other, concentrate on improving your weaker section to balance out your performance. Additionally, practice material is available through the College Board and third-party sources like Khan Academy, which can help you identify your strengths and weaknesses and provide targeted practice for areas that need improvement.

Remember that preparation and practice are key to improving your SAT score, so allocate sufficient time to review and understand each section's concepts and types of questions.
