SAT scores for Georgia Tech - any advice?

Hi there, future engineers! I'm seriously considering applying to Georgia Tech and I'm really curious about what the standard SAT scores are for admitted students. I know that scores alone won't get me in, but I want to make sure I'm aiming for the right range. If any current Yellow Jackets could provide some info, it'd be really helpful. Thanks!

Hello! Georgia Tech is a fantastic choice for aspiring engineers. To give you an idea of the score range for admitted students to Georgia Tech, the middle 50% SAT scores for admitted students are usually between 1370 and 1530. This statistic means that 25% of admitted students scored below 1370, 25% scored above 1530, and the remaining 50% fell within this range.

Aiming for a score within this range can definitely be beneficial, but remember that Georgia Tech takes a holistic approach when reviewing applications. Beyond test scores, they also consider your GPA, rigor of your high school courses, extracurricular activities, essays, and letters of recommendation. Focus on presenting a well-rounded application that showcases your strengths, especially in areas relevant to engineering.

Remember, Georgia Tech is quite selective, and at such institutions, many applicants have strong academic credentials, so more intangible qualities, like those showcased in the essays, are often just the thing admissions officers rely on when making their final decisions.

Good luck with your application to Georgia Tech! Go Yellow Jackets!
