Ole Miss Tuition: What's the cost?

Hey everyone, I'm thinking about applying to Ole Miss and wanted to know the cost of tuition. How much should I expect to pay, and are there any scholarships available to help cover costs?

The cost of tuition at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) varies depending on whether you're an in-state or out-of-state student. For the 2024-2025 academic year, the estimated tuition and fees for in-state students are around $9,252, while for out-of-state students, the estimated cost is approximately $26,820. Keep in mind that these figures may change, so it's always a good idea to check the university's website for the most up-to-date information.

In addition to tuition, there are other expenses to consider, such as room and board, books, supplies, and personal expenses. Including these additional costs, the overall estimated cost of attendance for in-state students is roughly $28,952 and for out-of-state students around $46,520.

Ole Miss does offer a variety of scholarships to help cover expenses. Academic scholarships are available for incoming freshmen who have a competitive high school GPA and ACT or SAT scores. There are also non-resident scholarships that reduce the out-of-state portion of tuition. Other scholarships are based on major, leadership, and/or service, and some are awarded on a competitive basis. Additionally, Ole Miss participates in the Mississippi Tuition Assistance Grant (MTAG) and the Mississippi Eminent Scholars Grant (MESG) programs for eligible Mississippi residents.

To maximize your chances of receiving scholarship funding, make sure you complete the university's scholarship application, submit your FAFSA, and research any additional scholarship opportunities within your intended major or department. Good luck with your application!
