What are WSU's SAT requirements?

Hey everyone! I'm considering applying to Washington State University and was curious about their SAT requirements. Do they have a specific minimum score, or is it more holistic? Can someone who has applied or attended WSU chime in? Thanks!

Washington State University (WSU) has adopted a test-optional policy for undergraduate admissions for the time being. This means you are not required to submit SAT or ACT scores to apply. The decision to not submit your scores will not negatively impact your admission chances, as WSU will use a holistic approach to evaluate your application based on factors such as your GPA, course rigor, extracurricular activities, and personal essays.

However, if you feel your SAT or ACT scores can strengthen your application, you can choose to submit them. There is no specific minimum score requirement, but you can gauge the competitiveness of your test scores by looking at the middle 50% range of admitted students. For reference, the middle 50% SAT range for enrolled first-year students at WSU in past years has been around 1020-1260.

Ultimately, it's up to you to decide whether or not to submit your SAT or ACT scores—just make sure the rest of your application is strong and highlights your abilities as a potential student at WSU. Good luck with your application!
