U of Michigan EA Acceptance Rate?

Hi all! I'm currently a high school junior, and I'm planning to apply to the University of Michigan Early Action. Can someone tell me the EA acceptance rate for UMich? Would it be better to apply EA or RD in terms of acceptance chances? Thanks!

Hello! The Early Action (EA) acceptance rate for the University of Michigan (UMich) is slightly higher than the Regular Decision (RD) acceptance rate. Although specific percentage rates can vary from year to year, applying Early Action generally gives you an advantage over applying Regular Decision because it demonstrates your strong interest in attending the school.

However, it's important to keep in mind that acceptance rates can be influenced by factors like the strength of the applicant pool in a given year, which can change the overall acceptance rate. You should ensure that your application is of the highest quality possible, regardless of the round you choose to apply in.

If you're confident in your application and UMich is one of your top choices, applying Early Action might be a good option for you. This allows you to receive a decision sooner, and if accepted, you have the peace of mind knowing where you'll be attending school. If you're not accepted or deferred, you'll still have time to apply to other schools in the Regular Decision round. Keep in mind that UMich's Early Action is non-binding, which means you aren't required to attend if accepted.

Best of luck with your college applications!
